Planning a Bridal Shower Tea Party!

tea-party-table-country-living

Hey all!

In about four months my cousin will be getting married!
April 2 , 2010 to be exact!
Being in a wedding makes me think what if I get married...
who would I choose to me my girls?
What theme will I go for? How will I find a dress? All that jazzz!

but anyways, sorry side tracking...
I am happy to say she picked me to be her Maid Of Honor!
So far, I think I have been doing very good.
She thought up the wedding to be a
1940's Hollywood Glam Theme.
Everything she has planned already matches the theme perfect!
She is even having in an old mansion. very cute!

So of course me being maid of honor,
I need to be the H.B.I.C (head bitch in charged)
 for her bridal shower.
I thought, what better theme than a tea party!
I would like to go all the way but I have to compromise with ideas only
because people ARE picky!
I got some great ideas but I am still very open for any suggestions.

Here is what I got so far:

Finger Sandwiches
Cucumber
Chicken Salad
Ham & Cheese
Cheese

Apps
Cheese
Crackers
Fruit
Veggies
Quiche

tea party wedding cupcakes

Sweets:
Cupcakes (of course)
brownies
Sugar cookies with frosting & sprinkles
macaroons
petit fours

Tea! & Drinks
Green Tea
Iced Passion Tea
Water with Lemon Slices
Strawberry Lemonade?

Decor:
Teapot/tea cup center pieces w/ daisys or gerber flowers.
lace table cloths
A Pretty Banner

Lastly, I was hoping I can encourge just brides maids to dress in tea party attire.
(dress, gloves, hat) and suprise the bride with all this plus a very special hat & gloves.

Does anyone have any tips or places where I can go to get these thing?
or maybe gifts for the games? I have the games in mind, very good ones.
Help a sista' out♥

kristin.

Cupcake Popper Recipe

Ok, so I am not really your, make stuff from scratch kinda gal.
I use cheater recipies! hehe
For those of you that are just like me...

Here is a recipe for you :)

Cupcake Poppers

  • 1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® white cake mix
  • Water, vegetable oil, egg whites called for on cake mix box
  • 1/4 teaspoon each gel or liquid food colors (neon pink, neon purple, neon orange, neon green, classic blue)
Filling
  • 1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • Gel or liquid food colors (neon pink, neon purple, neon orange, neon green, classic blue)

  Directions

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 60 mini muffin cups. Make cake batter as directed on box. Divide batter among 5 small bowls, about 3/4 cup each. Make 5 different colors of batter by adding 1/4 teaspoon food color to each bowl; blend well.

2. Fill each muffin cup with 1 level measuring tablespoon batter, making 12 cupcakes of each color.

3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely, about 10 minutes.

4. In large bowl, beat marshmallow creme and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until blended. Beat in powdered sugar until fluffy. Divide frosting among 5 small bowls, about 1/3 cup each. Using the same 5 food colors, lightly tint frosting in each bowl to match the cupcake colors.

5. Assemble each popper using 2 mini cupcakes. Cut tops off each cupcake horizontally (save bottoms for another use). Spread or pipe about 1 tablespoon frosting on cut side of 1 cupcake top. Form a sandwich by placing cut side of second cupcake top on frosting; press lightly. Repeat with remaining cupcake tops. Store loosely covered.

So there ya go!
It seems like a sugar overload huh? lol
Happy Baking.

kristin

A small wish list

Giving feels great!
But so does recieving :)

This was supposed to be my birthday gift back in October, but I can't seem to find it in stores anymore!

Women

I have been wanting this soo bad!
I found a great deal on this 20% orginal price ($100) plus free shipping.
My boyfriend has promised to buy this for me!

However ... I do not understand how there are only
xxsmall, xsmall & small all the time!
I think that is discrimination! haha
Not Everyone is lucky to be an Xsmall!
I need a medium!
I got some boobies that will not fit in a small! haha

[EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR Camera]

This black beauty,
I would rather have this more than anythingggg!
But I have to save up myself & my boyfriend is helping me :)
So Hopefully with my tax $$ I'll be gettin' a new camera!

Lastly, this!!!
They also have hello kitty film!
Isn't that awesome :)
I am getting too carried away.

I have to start buying presents for others!!
Speaking of that ...
Back to the subject of Obey Clothing ...

obey clothing mens hand-steniciled wreath tee + ornament in box

I really want to get this for my boy, it's $40.
He is obsessed with Obey! So maybe I should!
He is gonna buy me a $100 jacket hehe.

♥

So What do you think of the jacket? Is it worth the search?
Do you have the same sizing problems!

WARNING: CHEESY TO THE MAXX :)

I am sooo happy to say yesterday was my boyfriend & I's
5 Year Anniversary♥

I can't believe 5 years has already passed!
I remember the first time I seen him,
he was just the cutest boy I ever laid eyes on.
AND still is ♥
I have his heart & he has mine.

He is seriously my best friend.
We pretty much do everything together.
( the best adventures ever with him)
He stood in line with me for 4 hours
just to get into a hello kitty event.
if that isn't love, I dont know what is♥ hehe.

He was by my side the entire time when I lost my dad
and I am forever greatful for that!
I can go on and on about him and how great it is.
I love him more than anyone will ever know :)

Our first picture together,
We have changed soo much :)
(not so great quality, it was taken from a very old cell)
5 years ago phones weren't so fancy.

Another oldie but goodie♥
